God shows up in unique and powerful ways throughout scripture. These appearances actually have a fancy name. They’re called theophanies. Churches will often spend time after Easter studying the many theophanies of Jesus as he appeared to his followers after the resurrection. These appearances by God, though, go back all the way to the first chapters of our Bibles. God seems to always be looking for new and interesting ways to get the attention of his people. So as we build towards Pentecost and the ultimate pouring out of God’s presence through the Holy Spirit, we’re going to study some of the ways God has shown up in the past. Hopefully, that will get us better prepared to see and hear God when he shows up today. Join us for worship in-person or online every Sunday morning at 10:30. All are welcome!
